The State Bank of India (SBI) has declared the SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 for the recruitment of Probationary Officers. Candidates who appeared for the Preliminary Examination can now check their qualifying status and download the result PDF from the official SBI Careers portal.

SBI conducted the Probationary Officer Prelims exam on 1 and 2 August 2026, and the result was released on 28 August 2026, with 15,802 candidates shortlisted for the Phase II Mains exam out of the total pool competing for 1,500 vacancies.
The Prelims stage is qualifying in nature, so marks scored here are not added to the final merit list, but clearing it is mandatory to appear for Mains.

The SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 is now available on the official SBI portal. Candidates must log in using their Registration Number/Roll Number and Password or Date of Birth to check their scorecard and find out whether they have qualified for the next stage of the selection process.
Scorecards, category-wise cut-off marks, and merit status will be made available separately on the official website — the Prelims result PDF itself mainly confirms qualifying status through roll numbers.
Candidates who qualify for the Mains Examination should shift their focus to Mains exam preparation.
They should cover the General Banking/Awareness, Data Analysis, Reasoning, English Language, and Descriptive Paper sections, along with revising the last 4 to 5 months of current affairs.
The Mains Examination is scheduled to be held on 12 September 2026.
SBI will release the category-wise SBI PO Cut Off 2026 along with the scorecard soon on the official website. The cut-off is determined based on several factors, including the number of vacancies, difficulty level of the examination, number of candidates appearing, overall performance of candidates, and category-wise reservation norms.
Final selection is based on marks obtained in the Mains Examination and the Interview/Group Exercise.
